Day 13

Today we’ll awaken our Kundalini energy.

The term kundalini is used to refer to the vital force or energy that we all hold within us. Often called the “sleeping goddess” or “serpent power”, it is represented as a serpent coiled around the first chakra or root chakra at the base of the spine.

Kundalini Yoga is called the Yoga of Awareness. It is a dynamic, powerful tool that is designed to give you an experience of your soul. If that’s not enough, there are several other benefits of practicing this technique:

  • Kundalini Yoga strengthens your nervous system

  • It awakens your inner willpower

  • It helps clear the fogginess of the mind

  • It helps us get out of our heads and into our bodies!

In Kundalini Yoga we harness the mental, physical, and nervous energies of the body. A typical session would last about 60 minutes, but in today’s practice we will dip our feet with a simple 3 minute sequence.
